Boy Scout Troop 271

Germantown, Wisconsin - Northern Lights District - Potawatomi Council

Parent Information

WHAT IS TROOP 271 ALL ABOUT?

Our troop was founded in 1994 by the Parents of Scouting at County Line School in Germantown.  We consist of approximately 20 boys and 10 leaders.  In addition to our weekly meetings, we try to plan one outing a month.  We typically camp 4 times a year, once per season.

We are a boy run troop.  Our leaders exist to guide and assist; however, the scouts do the work.  We run our own meetings, plan events, outings and camping trips.  We also set up our own campsites, do all our own cooking and cleaning.  What makes Troop 271 unique is our strong friendships.  We strive to learn and grow together, each at our own pace, while having as much fun as possible! The older boys are very committed to helping the younger boys advance in rank.
